The MachineDrum is the first true digital percussion synthesizer to come along in years. With unmatched flexibility, the UW can handle almost anything. It does amazing drums sounds and sequencing, MIDI sequencing for controlling other drum or synth modules, and can act as a powerful effects processor. The effects can range from sequenced filtering, to modulated delays,to bit-crushing, to distortion, to compression, to reverb and much more. This is the IDM machine if that's your bag. The retrigger function is awesome. You can assign different machines to control the effects and sequence the settings . For example, use the "Control All" machine to filter your entire mix, or use it to change overall pitch or shorten the decay time of every machine at once. The parameter lock function is also inspiring. With this you can turn a kick drum into a bassline, put reverb on just one snare hit, etc..The Machinedrum SPS-1UW MKII is equipped with 2,5 MB ultra fast sample memory. Thanks to the internal flash backup, your samples will be retained in memory even after the unit is switched off. The dynamic 12-bit sample engine will add punch, grit and character to your samples. The sonic experience is incredibly powerful. Hearing those dirty UW bass drums is like being kicked in the head by a horse! The UserWave is also the perfect companion for the new style DJ.
