Up for sale is a rare, LYNC LN4 keyboard Controller in ex cond. Like Brand New!!! In it’s original box from the 80’s Made famous by Jan HammerIf your looking at this I’m sure you know it’s a rare, hard to find item…Lync systems Inc. sadly went out of business in the late 80"s, I loved them so much I collected several of them and have been happily using them for years !Not only is it hard to find a Lync LN4, it is super rare to find one of white color and in as good a shape as this…Jan Hammer made the LN4 famous back in the 80’s….Lync systems Inc. worked with him and came out with the Jan Hammer signature edition LN4 (Please see photos)...The main difference between this LN4 and Jan Hammer's is his signature LN4 featured wireless MIDI and a custom / faster action keyboard, and his pitch and mod wheels were positioned on the neck more to his liking…Other than that they are identical!The body of this LN4 was custom ordered in White through Lync systems Inc. back in the 80’s Please Note: The little Blue button on the neck has no function, the body came shipped with it as a hole filler. (please see photo) I recently shipped it out to Florida and had one of the original designers of the LN4 tech it out and it passed with flying colors…The circuit boards and all the switches were cleaned and the lithium battery was changed out so it’s good to go for years to come. Here's a little history: In the 80’s Lync systems Inc. was the co. that specialized in Remote MIDI keyboard controllers. The LN4 was Lync’s cream of the crop, They came in Blue (like Jan Hammer’s) Black, Red, and very rarely Orange, Yellow or White…Don't be confused... Lync systems Inc. also made the Lync LN1000 that was the economy model that sold for $700.00...Same body, shape but a lot less features than the LN4, LN1000’s came only black in color and had a plastic Day-Glow touch strip instead of buttons and were powered by six AA batteries (almost impossible to access) instead of the power module that comes with the LN4 (please see my photos for comparisons) The LN4 is a 49-note velocity sensitive controller with after-touch assignable to the wheels, switch and control knobs or keyboard. The pitch-bend wheel, and a mod wheel are similar to that on a MINI MOOG, It also features a one rack space power module with 1 MIDI in and 4 MIDI outs (so you never have to worry about dead batteries in the middle of a solo or set) 4 MIDI outs and switchable channels can tap into 32 MIDI devices! 8 push buttons can access up to 64 patches as well as increment and decrement buttons next to the mod and pitch wheels on the neck. The Lync LN4 is by far one of the best Professional keytars (as they are called these days) ever made…They beat out all the rest…I should know, I have owned and played just about all of them through the years…The Yamaha’s the Korg, the Casio, I had and used all of em'....A few years ago I got a Roland AX-7, played it on a few gigs and the buttons pushed in and something inside started to rattle, I sold it a week later!!They are all toys compared to the Lync’sEven the economy model Lync LN1000’s have more to offer than any other keytar's ever made, Unless you realy just have to have a D-Beam.....lolPlain and simple, If you consider yourself a pro…You want a Lynceven more to the point…You want a Lync LN4!!!!This Custom Lync LN4 will be shipped in it’s original box and includes / one space power module / new strap with new strap-lok buttons, and all power cables Please Take Note: I have posted photo’s of all of my Lync’s and a few photo's of Jan Hammer with his LN4 for comparison purposes only…I have already sold the two Black LN1000’s and I am keeping the Blue LN4 – Only the White LN4 is up for sale!!!
