To begin with, this auction is for local pickup only. If you do want me to ship I may consider it, but it's going to cost a fortune since this thing is a beast. Please do not bid if you're not going to pick up locally, and please don't ask about shipping unless you understand that it's going to be in the $3-400 range if I do decide to ship. At that price you're better off flying out here to pick it up... Even with shipping, please don't email me if you're outside the continental US, sorry, I can't ship internationally. For locals that don't have a truck I can deliver it up to 60 miles for a $50 fee, any further than that is negotiable. The dimensions of the case are 34"x14"x46", and it weighs a ton, I'm guessing in the 80-90lb range when it's in the case, maybe more or less since I have little concept of weight due to the fact that the case fortunately has wheels.Most likely if you're reading this you already know what a Sequential Circuits Prophet 10 is and what it can do. If you don't, I can sum it up for you: this is the pinnacle of analog supersize engineering, the peak of synthesizer decadence, and one of the rarest and most desired keyboard in the world. The Prophet 10 set a new standard for fat pads and analog sounds that hasn't been reached by any other keyboard before or since. I don't have time to play this one as much as I used to unfortunately, so I'd rather it go to someone that can truly appreciate it as much as I do.From VintageSynth.com"This rarely seen monster analog synth is by far one of the fattest and nicest vintage synthesizers. Multiple keyboard modes allow for true flexibility for different performance / voicing needs! The Prophet 10 is a truly fat and classic analog instrument. Used throughout the 1980's and on into the 90's by names like Tangerine dream, The Orb, The Who, Vangelis, Genesis, the Human League, and filmmaker/composer John Carpenter."There's a few scuffs here and there, and I never used the sequencer or the tape recorder so I have no idea if those work. The area on the "Prophet 10" decal on the front is a bit worn, but otherwise this thing is immaculate. It's been kept in my smoke-free studio, and has been babied since day 1.Here's a video that I made today, the end of the video shows the only sound issue that this synthesizer, which is negligible and is as follows: the filter envelope for voice 1 on the top keyboard is set a little bit too low, so with the filter envelope on and the filter low it will make the voice not play or play muted. In essence, the filter envelope for voice 1 is for some reason lower than it should be. If the filter envelope is not engaged then the voice works beautifully, as can be seen in the video. Voice 1 is only accessible through the top keyboard, which houses voices 1-5, the bottom keyboard houses voices 6-10. So if you need a sound with a keyboard envelope then the bottom keyboard will work 100%, I never had any issues with this at all but figured that I'd give as much info as possible. I'm sure that you can find a new filter envelope chip for that specific voice to get it working fine, but I was never that motivated since it's a pretty insignificant issue. The sound on the video is not so good due to my camera's microphone, but the sound is stellar in person. I've only ever seen one of these for sale in my entire life, don't miss out if you've been looking for one for as long as I'd been!Feel free to check my feedback and bid with confidence!
